In the dictionary Dynamics says ‘the forces or properties that stimulate growth, development or change within a system or process.’ This relates to singing a song how? Well a great teacher named Wendy Parr explained it perfectly! When we sing a song we want to take our audience on a journey, so we don’t want to sing a song loud the whole time or quiet the whole time. That would be boring and probably super annoying for our listeners. So think of a scale from 1 to 10, ten being off the scale too loud and 0 being silence. We want to sing somewhere around the 5, 6, and 7 range. Then we can peak up to a 8 or 9 and then bring it back down to a 3 and 4. Does that make sense? Basically you are making your audience connect with you emotionally. You take them on that 3 minute or 4 minute ride.
